Friends of Weare Church
It would be hard to imagine a village without its parish church. St Gregory's is part of our history and heritage.
There has been a church in Weare from earliest times, cared for by each successive generation; the church is open for all to enjoy moments of peace in a busy world and has been the site of so many great family occasions such as Baptism and Marriage.
Friends of Weare Church is a totally independent registered charity managed by local people. It was set up in 2005 to give everyone in the community an opportunity to help safeguard Weare village church by contributing to its upkeep and maintenance.

Open Gardens 2017
This year's even will take place on Sunday 2 July and, along with the opportunity to visit The Old Vicarage garden, there will be four other gardens to view, all very different and interesting. There'll be cream teas available in the Church Room or outside if we are blessed with a warm sunny day. Further details to follow.
Open Gardens 2016
A trio of Weare gardens opened in aid of the Friends of Weare Church on Sunday 14 August. Lots of visitors came and enjoyed the gardens, plant sales and teas which helped the Friends raise more than £1,000! If you'd consider opening your garden for the Friends in 2017, please get in touch using the 'Contact Us' link.
