And there's a plea from the Parish Council about overhanging hedges.
The Parish Council is represented by seven councillors as listed and normally meets on the third Tuesday of each month in the Memorial Hall, Notting Hill Way at 7.30pm. (See Notice Boards for any changes)
In the exercise of all its functions WEARE PARISH COUNCIL has a general duty to consider the following matters:
Equal Opportunities (Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Marital Status and any disability), Crime & Disorder, Health & Safety, and Biodiversity.
More information about the Council and Councillors is available on the Sedgemoor District Council website.
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT
WEARE PARISH COUNCIL adopted the Government’s New Model Publication on the First of January 2009.
This scheme is basic evidence of a commitment by Parish Councils to make information available to the public as part of its normal activities.
There are seven main classes of information:
(1) Who we are and what we do.
(2) What we spend and how we spend it.
(3) What our priorities are and how we are doing.
(4) How we make decisions.
(5) Our Policies and procedures.
(6) Lists and Registers.
(7) The services we offer.
Due respect, however, must be given to the Data Protection Act.
The contact for any information is the Parish Clerk, Alan Parfitt. You can email him here.
