Village Tree Lights

December 2020

CHRISTMAS will be a different this year.  As we cannot gather round the tree for the Annual Switch On, a different way has been proposed.  Please click here for details of Weare Village Switch on 2020 Style.  Please try to join in - the more who can, the more successful it will be.

This was a lovely event, and well attended - thanks to Corinne for suggesting the idea, and to Suzanne and Mike for putting up and decorating the tree, a very fine specimen.  A villager commented  :what a good idea it was to suggest everyone lights up their Christmas lights at the same time as the village Christmas tree is lit. We all need every bit of cheer this year but I think it was so nice to see that people had responded to the idea and suggest that we should make it a village happening every year.
